Mari Kuennen joined our staff in April as curator. A student at the University of St. Thomas, she is pursuing a Master of Arts in Art History and a Graduate Certificate in Museum Studies.
She received her B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Minnesota in May, 2020.
Her recent experience includes work as an intern in collections at the Minnesota Historical Society, an animal technician at the Animal Humane Society, and a historic site interpreter at Eidem Farm in Brooklyn Park. Mari has been instrumental in moving the museum forward this year.
Paul Maravelas retired from the museum in January.
